This summer, the Diocesan Summer Camp Program is going to move throughout the diocese to help facilitate week-long day camps in parishes and regions throughout Nova Scotia and PEI - and we need some help to make that happen!
The camp programming will be designed by the Youth and Family Ministry Coordinator and Program Architects, then they will work with people in parishes and regions to tweak that program to fit each context, and then train and work with volunteers in the community to deliver the program. We'll take care of all the details of registration too.
It's going to be lots of fun!
And, in case that doesn't sound like enough fun and excitement, volunteers in parishes and region will be trained and given resources to help them continue in children's and youth ministry long after the week of camp is over. This program isn't just about providing opportunities for children's faith formation, but also to raise up and support leaders in communities.
So - if you've got a desire to share the love of God with children in your community, and have some willing hands to help make it happen, fill out an application here for your parish or region to host a week of camp! We've extended the application deadline to the end of April, but applications will be considered as they come in, so the sooner you apply the better!
If you've got any questions, or want to talk about what this might look like where you are, get in touch with Allie at firstname.lastname@example.org or (902) 789 3481.
See you this summer!
