Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth Gathering
CLAY is an incredible gathering of Anglican and Lutheran youth from across Canada. The Gathering takes place every two years at different locations across Canada. The next gathering will be in Calgary in August 2020!
At CLAY we’ll encounter scripture in meaningful ways, experience ancient and modern ways of worship, learn together in special interest forums, enjoy fantastic social events, explore Calgary, make connections with youth from all over Canada and celebrate our life together.
This is a youth-centered program that empowers youth and develops leadership. Not only will we have an extraordinary time at CLAY, we will share what we experienced and learned with others in our home communities.
At the very heart of it, we are children of God, and we want to affirm and respond to God’s grace and faithfulness in ways that are intentional, practical and meaningful.
Who can come to CLAY?
The Gathering is designed for youth participants who will be ages 14 – 19 in 2020 (born between 2001 and 2006). With the endorsement of their Home Team Leader and their local congregation, and with the permission of the CLAY Registrar, youth are are age 13 (born in 2007) may be permitted to attend the gathering. Home Team Leaders intending to register a 13 year old should contact the Registrar prior to submitting the application.
Teams from NSPEI generally travel together, and spend time together before or after the gathering exploring the place the gathering happens. If you're planning to go, or interested in finding out more about how to make it happen, please get in touch with Allie (firstname.lastname@example.org).
